Well Done, Diablo!27 Feb 2008
Congratulations to Diablo Cody, who just won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for Juno! As the author of Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper published in 2006 by Fusion Press, her wit and talent were evident to us, but little did we know that she would explode as a star in Hollywood with her first, highly successful script. The media are fascinated by her racy, scandalous past, often introducing her as an ex-stripper in the headlines before mentioning her recent win. Pick up a copy of Candy Girl and read about Diablo Cody and her descent into the world of stripping and sex shows, and you'll see why this is only the beginning of a long, successful career for this young, talented woman.

Fusion Press plots revenge!25 Apr 2006
Gillman's book takes a light-hearted look at the darker side of human nature focusing on the remarkable lengths that people, and indeed nature, will go to in order to get even.

Often humorous, the stories are collected into categories such as Feminine Revenge, Masculine Revenge, Employees Revenge, Sporting Revenge and Military Revenge, with a brief introduction at the beginning of each chapter that highlights the psychology of revenge for that area. The stories, which date from ancient times through to modern times, do not celebrate revenge as such - but illustrate this very basic human reaction in its many guises.

Claire Gillman is an experienced journalist, writer and broadcaster. She contributes to many leading women's magazines and writes regularly for The Times.

Fusion Press will publish in October and hold world rights.
